Meet Our Founder,
Jean Claude Rochat
Jean-Claude Rochat founded Arborist Now in 2010 and remains its owner. He trained as a forester and landscaper in Switzerland, working in mountain and rural forest before moving to San Francisco — a background that shapes how the company approaches urban trees, which face a different set of pressures than forest trees and rarely get the same standard of care.
He holds CTSP #03302, the Certified Tree care Safety Professional credential, and the company operates under California contractor license 961415. He is directly involved in assessments and complex removals rather than running the business from an office.
Custom Milling & Urban Wood Services
Milling started as a way to avoid sending good wood to a landfill and became a division of the business. When possible, we mill trees that come down through our own removals across the Bay Area at our San Francisco yard. The material goes into furniture, architectural work, and public installations—including playground and city projects that servce the community. |
